The Samurai table lamp is part of the MaMo Nouchies collection a project of Ingo Maurer in collaboration with Dagmar Mombach back in ‘98. The use of paper was the catalyst for the cross cultural creations which emerged from this collection. Just like all lighting fixtures in this collection, this table lamp is handcrafted. Plain sheets of paper are transformed into several different designs by folding and pulling the paper. Few years of creating went into searching for an ideal texture for these pieces. It stands 29.5 inches high, and has a continuously variable transformer dimmer for ambiance lighting and a fifty-watt light bulb.

The Tube Top is a project of Peter Stathis for Pablo Pardo. Tube Top’s creative design brings a contemporary spin to a standard lighting fixture. The mesh fabric shade which gives it its name is stretched over the open acrylic base for a simple, stylish silhouette. Best of all, this bedroom table lamp has a dimmer switch on cord – great for ambiance lighting.

According to Maya mythology, Alux is a goblin, a bad elf that lives in the forest. It’s an ideal solution for space-limited bedrooms due to its multifunctionality lets it be a bedside table or an occasional table. It takes the concept of a table lamp to the most literal conclusion, incorporating both terms in one convenient modern lighting fixture. The designer Christian Vivanco was born in Mexico where he finds the inspiration.
