What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Saatva Careers
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some movement, minimizing how much movement is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up somewhat more movement than the Luxury Company and Firm choices. While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company version.Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the distinctions below. We plan to test the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaAjJvmj8zo
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, however it offers a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of specialists in the bed mattress industry and in products science; checked out dozens of mattress factories, shops, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
