What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re unsure what you choose or if your requirements change in time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to dozens of bed mattress factories, shops, and display rooms; and pored over the great print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and catering to practically every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva S Medium Firm
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just natural cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
