What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Try Out Saatva Mattress
People who are easily awoken when their partner stirs might discover the Saatva transfers more motion than ideal Individuals who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms carefully enough The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. Instead, it uses an additional layer of springs within the
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change over time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in materials science; gone to lots of mattress shops, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, service warranties, and return policies.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. We do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
