It is among the few innerspring mattresses you can conveniently buy online. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. Considerations: What By Mattresses Does Staybridge Suites Use
The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some motion, reducing how much motion is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some movement transfer when their partner changes position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs somewhat more movement than the Luxury Firm and Company options.
While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We plan to evaluate the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove handy if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of experts in the bed mattress industry and in products science; gone to dozens of bed mattress factories, display rooms, and shops; and pored over the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for numerous weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
